PHILDELPHIA, Pa. – No. 34 Dartmouth men's tennis picked up a 4-0 win over Brown on the second day of the ECAC Indoor Championship on Saturday evening. The Big Green improved to 6-4 this season and the Bears fell to 4-3.
At No. 2 doubles, junior George Wall and senior Brendan Tannenbaum had a 6-1 victory over Jack Haworth and Mladen Mitak and, at No. 3, sophomore Max Fliegner and junior Max Schmidt defeated Aaron Sandberg and Charles Tan, 6-3.
Senior Dovydas Sakinis – who is 50th in the most recent ITA National rankings – had a 6-1, 6-3 win over Greg Garcia at the No. 1 position, while Wall had a 6-3, 7-5 win over Haworth at No. 4. Freshman Eddie Grabill added a win of his own, defeating Anthony Arocho at the No. 6 position, 6-3, 6-3. In all three matches that went unfinished, it was Dartmouth that was leading.
The Green will return to action on Sunday morning when it faces St. John's to conclude the championship.
