ITHACA, N.Y. – The Dartmouth women's squash team fell on the road at Cornell 8-1.

In the first round of matches, sophomore Rebecca Brownell and junior Madeline Fraser lost in three straight games. Meanwhile freshman Emma Roberts lost a close 3-1 match.

Freshman Carly Rizzuto and sophomore Zainab Molani both contended well, but lost 3-1, after Rizzuto dropped the first game and came back to tie the match 1-1. Senior Tori Dewey fell to her opponent 3-0.

Sophomore Janel Gaube recorded the only victory for the Big Green as she defeated her opponent 3-1. Senior Lydie McKenzie lost in four well-contested games as junior Jacqueline Barnes lost 3-0, forcing each game into extra points.

Dartmouth returns to the court on Sunday to take on Columbia in New York.
