GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Dartmouth men's golf team finished tied for 11th in the Furman Intercollegiate after shooting a combined 872 (+6) after three rounds.
Georgia State pulled away from the field shooting a combined 841 (-23) ahead of Ivy League foe, Harvard who shot an 856 (-8) for second place in the tournament.
On Sunday the Big Green shot a 300 in the final round of play, as sophomore Ian Kelsey finished tied for 21st individually with a team-best final round score of 73 (+1). His day was highlighted by a birdies on the par four third hole and par five 11th.
Junior Jeff Lang was the next top finisher for Dartmouth after shooting a 77 on Sunday. The Lexington, Massachusetts native did well on the front nine with two birdies, but struggled on the back nine. He settled down toward the end of his round paring two of the final three holes.
Freshman John Lazor finished the afternoon with a 74, while junior Scott Jaster shot a 77 through 18 holes.
The Big Green return to the links next weekend in West Palm Beach for the Cornell Spring Opener.
