KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – After shooting a combined team score of 904 (+52) through three rounds, the Dartmouth men's golf team finished in 15th place in the Irish Creek Collegiate in North Carolina.
Wake Forest took home first place with an 855 (+3) while Kennesaw State finished second at 859 (+7) and North Carolina rounded out the top three at 860 (+8).
Freshman John Lazor was the top individual for the Big Green shooting a 72 on Sunday contributing to his final team-best score of 225. Lazor's score was good for a tie for 47th place in the 89 player field. Senior Charles Cai shot a 75 for a final score of 227 to finish in a tie for 54th with teammate junior Sean Fahey, who shot a 79 in his final round at the par 71 course.
Other finishers for Dartmouth included sophomore Ian Kelsey who shot a combined 235 and junior Jeff Lang who shot a 237.
The Big Green return to the links on April 16 for the Yale Invitational in New Haven, Connecticut before the season concludes with the Ivy League championship on April 22.
