LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two members of the Dartmouth equestrian team individuals competed Thursday at the 2016 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship.
Junior Catherine Conway competed in Novice Equitation over Fences. Although she didn't place, she had a solid ride on a horse provided by Skidmore College.
Senior Lindsay Seewald competed in Intermediate Equitation on the Flat and finished third. Seewald also drew a horse provided by Skidmore College and had a stunning ride which included numerous tests asked by the judges.

All riders compete against the top-16 riders in the nation in their respective classes with two from each Zone. Horses are provided to the National Championships from all over the East Coast and Midwest and riders draw their mounts by luck of the draw.
Anna Knowles and Erin McCarthy-Keeler will compete in the Teresa McDonald Scholarship Challenge on Saturday, representing Zone I – all of New England – and Dartmouth.
The IHSA is an association with over 400 colleges and universities and over 10,000 riders from across the country and into Canada.
