THIS FRIDAY
After playing all seven Ivy League opponents once already, Dartmouth volleyball is starting over at the top of the list with a Friday night game at Harvard.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green went 1-1 on the road last weekend, falling to Yale, 3-0 (19-25, 19-25, 19-25) before rebounding and taking Brown down in four sets (25-20, 25-19, 28-30, 25-19).
Â
For the second weekend in a row,
Elise Petit led the way with 20 kills, 49 total attempts and 22.5 points. She also had .265 hitting percentage, three digs and four total blocks.
Tola Akinwumi also had a good weekend, ending up with 19.0 points and leading the way with 12 total blocks (1.29/set).
Â
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard enters Friday's match with an overall record of 8-8 and, like Dartmouth, has a 3-4 mark in conference action. The Crimson fell to Cornell and Columbia after their loss to the Big Green back in September, but went on a three-match winning streak against Penn, Princeton and Brown before that was cut short at Yale last Saturday.
Â
LAST TIME AGAINST HARVARD
The Big Green opened conference play on Sept. 21 on a high note, taking down the Crimson in five sets (24-26, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17, 17-15) in front of a good-sized crowd at Leede Arena.
Â
This was the first time that Dartmouth defeated Harvard since a five-setter on Sept. 25, 2015.
Â
Mallen Bischoff and
Corinne Cox had double-doubles: Bischoff had 11 kills and 13 digs, and Cox had 25 assists and 14 digs, while also leading the way with three of the team's six service aces.
Zoe Leonard was first with 20 digs and
Abby Kott had six total blocks.
