LAST TIME OUT
On Oct. 13, the Big Green concluded the regular season with a 26-20 victory over Army on the road.
Dartmouth took control from the start, scoring three straight tries to open the half.
Ale Ada scored the Green's first and third tries, while
Karina Martinez had her third of the season. With two good conversions by
Camille Johnson, Dartmouth had a 19-0 edge with 14 minutes remaining in the half.
A few minutes later, Army scored its first of the game to slightly cut into the Big Green's lead (19-5).
The visitors made it a 26-5 game seven minutes into the second half when
Alex Conway had her second try in as many games, followed by Johnson's third good kick of the match. The Black Knights responded with three tries over the course of 13 minutes to pull within six points, but ran out of time before they could score another.
DARTMOUTH ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ada was named the Dartmouthsports.com female athlete of the week after the win over Army. Her two tries was a career-high after entering the game with one try scored in the 55-13 win over the Crimson last month. She now has three tries during her first collegiate season.
SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson went on a three-game winning streak after their loss to the Big Green in September, taking down Quinnipiac (24-21), Notre Dame College (43-12) and Brown (76-7).
LAST TIME AGAINST HARVARD
Eight different players scored tries in the 55-13 victory over Harvard on Sept. 22.
Emily Henrich led with one try and three conversions for 11 points, while
Becca Jane Rosko was right behind with 10 points from a pair of tries.
Both teams looked strong to start the first half, but neither controlled the ball long enough to get on the board. Following almost 12 minutes of back-and-forth action, Dartmouth broke through with a try by
Alex Stendahl, her second of the season, to take a 5-0 lead.
Over the next 17 minutes, four different Big Green players scored tries to pull Dartmouth further ahead: Ada,
Sophie Ragg,
Milla Anderson and Rosko. With three conversions by Henrich, Dartmouth had a comfortable 31-0 advantage with less than 10 minutes remaining in the half. A good Harvard penalty kick a few minutes later made it a 31-3 match heading into the break.
The Crimson returned for the second half wanting more, scoring their first try three minutes in, but tries by
Allison Tong,
Sophia Haley, a second for Rosko and a good conversion by
Kat Ramage over the next eight minutes increased Dartmouth's lead (48-8).
After 16 minutes of scoreless play, Henrich had her first of the match and, following another good kick by Ramage, the Green had a comfortable 55-8 lead with time winding down. Harvard scored once more at right at the end to officially end the game.
