HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's hockey will host the newly branded Shenzhen Kunlun Red Star Vanke Rays in the first of its two preseason games on Friday, Oct. 5.
The KRS Vanke Rays are part of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) and are a product of the integration of the Kunlun Red Star and the Vanke Rays that happened last month. The Red Star brand remains, but is now associated with the Kontinental Hockey League (KWL).
The game is free to public, but will be not be streamed.
Dartmouth's 23-player roster is made up of 16 returnees and seven freshmen.
Laura Schuler will begin her second season at the helm of the program after spending last season coaching the Canadian Women's Olympic Hockey Team. She is joined behind the bench by
Chris Cobb and
Morgan Illikainen '15.
The Big Green will play their annual exhibition game against McGill on Sunday, Oct. 14.
