THIS WEEKEND
•   The Dartmouth men's hockey team is back for the start of a four-game homestand Saturday with a 7 p.m. game against Vermont Saturday night at Thompson Arena.
•   The Big Green were off last weekend due to the Dartmouth exams schedule at the end of the fall term.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The team split the last weekend prior to the exams period, dropping a 4-2 game at Brown before bouncing back for a 3-0 shutout at Yale.
•  Â
Will Graber and
Quin Foreman each posted goals in both of Dartmouth's first two road games of the season.
•   Koenig Family Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Hockey
Bob Gaudet '81 moved into a tie with Eddie Jeremiah '30 for the most wins by a head coach in program history with the 308th of his tenure with the Big Green.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
•   Vermont is 3-6-0 this season with a 1-5-0 mark in Hockey East play.
•   The Catamounts won their first game of the season 5-2 at Michigan and have wins against Brown and UConn since.
•   Of the nine games played this season, seven have been decided by one goal (2-5), showing that, despite the record, Vermont has been a tough opponent to play against.
•   The Catamounts are coming off a 1-0 loss last weekend at home to Northeastern.
•   These two teams met last season in Hanover. The Catamounts came away with a 2-1 win thanks to an overtime winner from Max Kaufman just 20 seconds into the fourth period. The Big Green's lone goal came from
Alex Jasiek at the 7:39 mark of the first, while the Catamounts tied it up early in the middle frame to set up the extra period.
•   These two former ECAC Hockey rivals and travel partners have played 14 times since Vermont bolted for Hockey East following the 2004-05 season. The Cats have won 10, while the teams have played to a tie once (1-1, 2013-14).
•   Dartmouth won two of the first three, but have just one victory since 2008, a 4-1 win in 2012 during the NHL lockout that pushed the game in Hanover to national primetime on the NBC Sports Network.
308!
•   Fresh off joining the ranks of the 400-win club for head coaches at the DI level, Gaudet tied another career milestone, tying the legendary Eddie Jeremiah for the most wins at Dartmouth as the Yale game was the 308th victory since stepping behind the bench of his alma mater in 1997.
•   Jeremiah is the longest-serving coach in program history with 26 seasons behind the Big Green bench between 1937-67 with several seasons missing due to military service and illness.

SHUTOUT FACTS AND FIGURES
•   At Yale, junior
Adrian Clark turned aside 31 shots to record his second career shutout.
•   The shutout was the first by a Dartmouth goaltender against Yale since Gaudet stopped 13 in a 1-0 win on Jan. 13, 1979 in Hanover. The Bulldogs' goalie that night was Keith Allain, the current Yale head coach, who allowed just the one goal to Ross Brownridge at 18:29 of the first period, while making 34 saves.
•   The last time a netminder wearing the Green and White turned in a shutout performance in New Haven was al the way back in 1949 when Dick Desmond backstopped Dartmouth to a 4-0 win on Feb. 19, 1949 at New Haven Arena, making Clark's the first shutout at Ingalls Rink.
IN OR AROUND THE ELM CITY
•   The Clark shutout was the second of his career.
•   The junior netminder and Ontario native posted his only other shutout at Quinnipiac last December in a 0-0 tie with the Bobcats.
•   In his only two career starts in the New Haven area, Clark has not allowed a goal, while stopped a combined 74 shots.
DISHING THEM OUT
•   Not only did Clark have a shutout against the Bulldogs, he also posted the first point of his career.
•   Clark was credited with an assist on Dartmouth's third goal, an empty netter from
Quin Foreman.
•   It marked the fourth time this season that a goalie had posted a shutout and an assist in the same game, joining Western Michigan's Trevor Gorsuch, Arizona State's Joey Daccord and St. Cloud State's Jeff Smith to accomplish the feat.
•   After the bye week, Dartmouth is tied for the lead in goaltender scoring as Smith had another helper in another shutout over the weekend, marking the fifth time the feat has been accomplished in 2018-19. His two assists match the combined output of Clark and
Justin Ferguson, who each have one this season.
TOP LINE TIME
•   It was another strong weekend of play for the Timber Line as both
Will Graber and
Quin Foreman each scored two goals on the road trip.
•   At Brown, Foreman stole a puck from a defender and dished it to Graber for the one timer. Later in the game, Graber performed a spin-o-rama entering the zone before dishing off to Foreman for the one-timer goal.
•   At Yale, both scored into the empty net in the final minute to seal the win.
•   The Foreman empty netter was the 80th point by the trio that also includes left wing
Shane Sellar since forming last year.
•   In five games this season, the three have posted a scoring line of 9-9-18. Add that to the 24-35-62 in 25 games last season and you have 36-44-80 in 30 total games, meaning they average 2.67 points per game, the most of any grouping in ECAC Hockey in that span.
EARLY WINNER
•  Â
Carl Hesler found the back of the net just 2:34 into the game in New Haven.
•   With Clark's performance at the other end of the ice, Hesler's second of the season proved to be the winner.
•   The last time Dartmouth scored a game winner so soon after the drop of the puck was nearly years to the day earlier when Brad Schierhorn '16 notched the first goal of his collegiate career at 2:36 of the first period of a 4-0 win against Rensselaer in Hanover on Nov. 9, 2012.
101 to 100
•   With the drop of the puck Saturday, Hesler will become the 101st player in program history to reach 100 career games played.
•  Â
Corey Kalk and
Tim Shoup both reached the figure last season before finishing their careers with 117 and 107, respectively, to their credit.
•   In his 100th career game, Shoup scored the lone Dartmouth goal in a loss to visiting Cornell. The night before in his 99th game, the defenseman jumped up and scored the game winner in the final minutes of regulation to beat Colgate.
SOME STATISTICAL RANKINGS
•   Dartmouth has played just five games this season, tied with Yale for the fewest of any of the 60 Division I teams.
•   Despite that small sample size, the Big Green are 12th in the nation with 3.60 goals per game. The 9.20 points per game are 15th in the country.
•   The Green and White are seventh nationally in faceoffs, winning draws at a .543 clip. The 148 losses are the fewest in the country (most likely due to the number of games played).
•   Dartmouth is averaging 13 minutes of penalties per game, the 23rd-highest figure so far. Vermont doesn't give its opposition much in terms of power-play opportunities as the Catamounts are the least penalized team in the country at 6.89 minutes per contest.
•   After an 0-8 weekend on the power play, Dartmouth fell back to No. 9 in the country at 25.0%.
•   Despite a 7-for-7 weekend on the penalty kill at Brown/Yale, the team remains last in the country at just 60.0%.
