LAST TIME OUT
Playing in sleet and freezing temperatures for the entire game, Dartmouth suffered a 12-3 loss to Harvard in the Ivy Rugby Championship on Oct. 27.
Control could have gone to either team to start the game, which featured a lot of back-and-forth action along the midway line. Dartmouth broke the 0-0 tie 10 minutes in when a good penalty kick by
Kat Ramage gave the home team a 3-0 edge.
The Crimson responded seven minutes later with an unconverted try to take a slight 5-3 lead. The teams played an even game in worsening conditions over the next 23 minutes and Harvard took a two-point advantage into the half.
The visitors came out strong in the second half and another try and a good kick increased their lead (12-3). Dartmouth camped out in Harvard's end and got close to the tryline a few times, but were stopped each time. The Big Green continued to battle, but ran out of time to do any damage.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown enters the match with an overall record of 2-4. After falling to the Big Green back in September, the Bears had a 28-27 victory over Westchester, but have since fallen to Quinnipiac (85-3), Harvard (76-7) and Norwich (29-24).
LAST TIME AGAINST BROWN
The Big Green had a dominating win over the Bears in their home opener at Brophy in September, taking down Brown by a score of 98-7. This was Dartmouth's second highest scoring game since a 110-0 win over Columbia on Sept. 24, 2016.
Nine different members of the team combined to score 14 tries.
Emily Henrich led the offensive charge with three tries and six conversions for a career-high 27 points.
Allison Tong,
Kathleen Mulligan,
Jules Wheaton and
Grace Player all scored the first tries of their careers.
