GREENVILLE, S.C. — Sophomore Will Bednarz sank five birdies during the opening round of the Furman Invitational on Friday afternoon, finishing the day in a tie for 32nd with a one-over 73 to lead the Dartmouth men's golf team to a 14-over 302, tying the Big Green for 12th with Marshall and Winthrop. North Florida, ranked 28th in the country, leads the 21-team field at 10-under par (278) with the Ospreys' Phillip Knowles owning a three-stroke lead with a six-under 66.
