HANOVER, N.H. – Head women's rowing coach Wendy Bordeau announced the hiring of Sabrina Bohrer '18 as an assistant coach.
"I am thrilled that Sabrina will be joining us on the other side of the megaphone," Bordeau said. "She was a phenomenal rower and team leader in her time here. Her personal insight into the Dartmouth student-athlete experience will be invaluable to our coaches, both in guiding our current team and recruiting the future."
Bohrer rowed in the Varsity 8 each of her four years at Dartmouth, stroking the V8 in 2018 to its best results since 2014. As a senior, she was named both All-Ivy first team and Academic All-Ivy.
She received four post-season team awards throughout her time on the team: the Martha Beattie '76 Award for being the most outstanding freshman oarswoman (2015), the Season of 1979 Women's Cup for service and dedication to the team (2017), the Julia H. Geer Award for most significant contribution to the team (2018) and the Thaddeus Seymour Award for greatest contribution to Dartmouth rowing (2018).
This summer, Bohrer coached the U-23 program at Bachelors Barge Club on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. She has also coached masters and youth programs at Community Rowing Inc. in Brighton, Massachusetts (Summer, 2015-17).
"I am excited to experience Dartmouth rowing from a new perspective," Bohrer said. "Rowing at Dartmouth presented me with so many opportunities over the past four years, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to give back to the program."
