EUGENE, Ore. – Facing the first of two Pac-12 opponents on the schedule this weekend, the Dartmouth women's soccer team fell to Oregon, 2-0, Friday night in Eugene. Dartmouth falls to 2-1-0 on the year, while Oregon improves to 3-1-1 on the season.

The Ducks began the contest with a couple quick shots and a corner kick. That early intensity paid off and Oregon got on the board first with a goal by Bayley Bruner in the 18th minute.

Oregon continued its attack with three more shots and one more corner kick to close out the final minutes of the first half.

Junior
Zoe Boocock came out of the locker room with an aggressive mindset to begin the second half. She let two shots loose in the 48th and 53rd minutes. The Ducks regained control and extended their lead to 2-0 in the 66th minute when Emma Eddy back-netted her third goal of the season.

"Our team battled today but fell short of the quality needed to beat a Pac-12 team," said Head Coach
Ron Rainey. "We as a collective will take responsibility and learn from this to get us better prepared for Oregon State on Sunday."

Sophomores
Erin Kawakami and
Bonnie Shea both had shot attempts down the stretch but were unable to connect. Oregon held a 12-4 advantage in shots and led 3-1 in corner kicks for the game.

Dartmouth will now prepare to take on Oregon State in Corvallis on Sunday at 4 p.m.
