Kaitlyn Lees both carded a 2-over 74 for the second and final round of the Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday, allowing the Big Green to maintain their third-place standing with a 598 (+22), one stroke ahead of Hartford. Albany fended off Harvard for the team title with a 289-291—580 (+4) over the weekend, six strokes in front of the Crimson.
Lees finished the tournament as Dartmouth's low scorer in her collegiate debut, shooting 73-74—147 (+3) on her home course. Junior Kristin Soh, who entered the day tied with Lees at 1-over par, shot a 76 today to end up in a tie for 14th with a 5-over 149, matching freshman
Kristen Chen, who was playing as an individual.
Roddy improved by two strokes over her first round to post a 6-over 150 for the weekend, tying for 20th overall. Sophomore
Julianne Strauch, meanwhile, provided a pair of 76s to tie for 25th at 152 (+8).
Yale's Ami Gianchandani began the day in fifth place, but her 6-under 66 today was four strokes better than anyone else to win the tournament with a 7-under 137, beating out Albany's Madison Walker by two shots. The first-round leader, Siena's Sara Riso, could not duplicate her 66 from yesterday, ending up four strokes back with a 75 (+3) today.
Dartmouth will be back in action in two weeks when the Big Green travel to New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational on Sept. 29-30.
