PRINCETON, N.J. — After a week off from competition, the Dartmouth Big Green women's golf team is back in action for the Princeton Invitational on Sept. 29-30.
Dartmouth will go up against 11 other teams: Columbia, Harvard, Navy, Penn, Penn State, Princeton, Rollins, Seton Hall, Yale, Youngstown State and the defending champion, Georgetown. The first round on Saturday will begin at the first and 10th tees beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the par-72, 6,100-yard Springdale Golf Club in Princeton. The forecast is calling for exceptional weather with clear skies and highs in the mid-70s on both days.
The two-round tournament will conclude on Sunday on the first and 10th tees once again at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available through the Golfstat.com website. Junior
Kristen Soh, sophomores
Julianne Strauch and
Moon Cheong, as well as freshmen
Kaitlyn Lees and
Kristen Chen will comprise the five players competing for Dartmouth's team score, while junior co-captain
Bethany Burns will play as an individual.
Last time out, the Big Green claimed third place in their home Dartmouth Invitational, trailing only Albany and Harvard. Lees was the Green's top finisher in a tie for 10th place with a 3-over 147, while Soh and Chen tied for 14th just two strokes behind their teammate.
