PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth men's tennis opened play at the Ivy Plus Tournament on Friday, competing at both Yale and Princeton.

The invite includes players from Alabama, Brown, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Illinois LSU, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn, Princeton, St. John's, Texas, Tulsa, Wisconsin and Yale.

At Yale, the Big Green won three matches. Freshmen Sid Chari and Sacha Pritzker walked away with victories over their opponents from Penn and Brown, respectively. In the doubles quarterfinal, senior Roko Glasnovic paired up with freshman Pierce Widdecombe to take down Penn's Aleks Huryn and Kaden Funk, 8-5.

Over at Princeton, Dartmouth had six wins throughout the day. Sophomore Peter Conklin had a good day, winning his singles match before taking down doubles teams from Tulsa and Michigan State alongside classmate Casey Ross. Junior Charlie Broom took his match against No. 3 Mazen Osama of Alabama to three sets and had two match points before falling. Broom and fellow junior David Horneffer had an 8-4 victory over a pair from LSU.

The tournament will continue on Saturday morning.
