NEWTON, Mass. – Dartmouth men's swimming and diving narrowly fell to Boston College, 165-133, on Friday evening, winning eight events throughout the meet.

The Big Green's 200-yard medley A and B relays touched in third and fourth place with times of 1:36.62 and 1:36.97.
Joe Moll won the 1000-yard freestyle (9:55.52), leaving a 10-second gap between him and the BC swimmer in second.
Maxwell Jones all picked up two points by coming in fourth (10:12.63). Moll's second victory came in the 200-yard backstroke (1:52.53).

In the 200-yard freestyle,
Connor LaMastra came in first (1:43.23), out-touching Michael Hinton by six-tenths of a second.
John Hall followed soon after in third (1:45.30). Swimming the 100-yard backstroke,
Dylan Chan finished highest for Dartmouth in fourth (53.78), while
Robert Purvis came in sixth place (55.24).

Brandon Liao and
Connor Richmond touched a tenth of a second apart in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with times of 59.53 and 59.66, respectively. Richmond also came third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:10.86). LaMastra was back in the 200-yard fly, winning with a time of 1:52.20, leaving a two-second gap behind him.
Matt Luciano earned two points with his fourth-place finish (1:57.85). For his third victory, LaMastra won the 500-yard freestyle (4:38.38).

In the 50-yard freestyle,
Henry Patrick placed fourth (21.96) and
Luke Rohlen was sixth (22.13). The duo was back a few events later in the 100-yard freestyle: Patrick was first (47.42) and Rohlen was fourth (48.47). Also picking up a point was Liao in fifth (48.69). In an event not typically swam, the 100-yard IM, Moll placed second (53.77), Chan was fourth (54.92) and
Parker Hershberger came in fifth place (55.68).

Dartmouth's divers took the top three spots on the 3-meter board:
Justin Sodokoff led the way with an NCAA zone-qualifying score (351.22) and was followed by
AJ Krok (306.97) and
Ray Neistat (267.67). It was a similar story on 3-meter when Sodokoff placed first (343.87), Neistat took second (295.65) and Krok came third (280.57). In the 100-yard fly, Luciano (51.81),
Matt Degtyar (52.22) and Hall (52.64) finished all in a row.

In the last event of the day, the 200-yard freestyle relay, Dartmouth placed second (1:26.33), out-touching BC by less than two-tenths.
