Dartmouth takes second in annual tri-meet with Lions and Bulldogs.

NEW YORK – The Dartmouth men's track & field team finished second at the annual tri-meet with Columbia and Yale Friday at The Armory in New York City.

The Big Green posted 62 points, four back of the first-place Lions (66) and 10 ahead of the Bulldogs (52).
 HIGHLIGHTS
Dartmouth claimed all four scoring spots in the 60m hurdles, adding a combined 11 points to the team total. Parker Johnson won in 8.25 with Shawn Ohazurike (8.35), Alec Eschholz (8.40) and Max Frye (8.49) all earning the remaining points.
Donovan Spearman edged out Yale's Vincent Vaughns to win the 60m, running a 6.88 to beat his Bulldog counterpart by two-hundredths of a second. Mattieu Freeman was fourth in 7.09.
Spearman (22.01) and Freeman (22.26) also were atop the podium in the 200m, taking the top two spots and the eight team points.
The 400m saw Myles Holt (49.98) claim the win, while Charlie Wade (50.37) was third.
The top spot in the shot put went to Dartmouth's Ethan Ruh. His best throw was measured at 15.94m to earn five points, while Andrew Palermo took fourth to earn one point thanks to a 13.47m toss.
Frye (1:04.35) and Michael Thurston (1:05.30) were second and third, respectively, in the 500m race.
Ahria Simons was the winner of the long jump with his best distance measuring 6.92m. Ben Ose took fourth thanks to a 6.79m.
Ose took third in the pole vault as well, clearing 4.75m for a pair of points.
Ryan Cashman earned two points in the triple jump with a measured distance of 14.16m.
