James Paul and Emma Barska won their division at the Nickerson Trophy
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dartmouth sailing raced in its final three events of the fall season and came away with solid results. The Big Green finished third in the Victorian Urn hosted by Harvard, fourth in the 79th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy at MIT and sixth in the Nickerson Trophy at Tufts.
The team of skippers Kathryn Hall and Payton Thompson and crews Aisling Sullivan and Carlota Hopkins Guerra took third out of 16 teams at the Victorian Urn. The Division A boat of Hall and Sullivan raced to four top-five finishes for 83 points. The B boat of Thompson and Hopkins Guerra were in the top five in seven races with one victory for 68 points.
Skippers Boyd Bragg and Audrey Giblin along with crews Eloise Burn, Christopher Long, Paige Clarke and Ryan Goldstein came in fourth of 18 teams in the 79th Professor Erwin Schell Trophy. The Division A boat of Bragg, Burn and Long had eight top-five marks with four wins for 82 points. The B boat of Giblin, Clarke and Goldstein placed in the top five in five races with one win for 101 points.
It was skippers James Paul and Nick Hurley and crews Emma Barska and Eliza Crocker who took sixth out of 18 in the Nickerson Trophy. Paul and Barska won the A Division with five top-five finishes over eight races with one win for 41 points. The B boat of Hurley and Crocker placed in the top five once for 81 points.
