BRONX, N.Y. – The Dartmouth men's cross country team finished eighth at the 2019 Ivy League Heptagonal Championship at Van Cortland Park on Friday afternoon.

The Big Green posted 197 points on the 8K course. Penn won with 62 points, while Harvard (65) and Princeton (68) were right on its heels.

Junior
Owen Ritz was the team's leader Friday, crossing the finish line 35th overall in 25:43.

Sam Morton (25:49), Ben Matejka (25:51) and
Quinn Cooney (25:53) were 39th, 40th and 42th, respectively. Senior
Reed Horton rounded out the scoring with a finishing time of 25:56 to take 44th.

The team will now shift its focus to the NCAA Northeast Regional in Buffalo on Saturday, Nov. 15.
