HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish seventh in the 2019 Ivy League preseason poll, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Defending champion Yale received 13-of-15 first-place votes to sit in the top spot. The Bulldogs went 17-3 in 2018, defeating Duke to win the program's first NCAA title.
Cornell received the other two first-place votes and was followed by Princeton and Penn. After the Quakers came Brown, Harvard and Dartmouth.
The Big Green went 2-11 last season, defeating Canisius (13-12) and Wagner (9-8) by just one goal both times. Dartmouth played two double overtime games, but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of both of them, falling to UMass Lowell (8-9) and No. 20 Penn (9-10).
The 2019 season is almost here. The Green will open their campaign on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Boston University.
