Big Green Women Defeat Brown, 5-4, on Senior Night

HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's squash honored their senior class of Emma Roberts and Charis Freiman-Mendel Friday night at the Berry Squash Courts and picked up a 5-4 win over Brown. The Big Green improve to 5-6, while Brown falls to 8-6.

Anne Blasberg and Roberts picked up sweeps for the Big Green. Blasberg defeated her opponent, 11-9, 12-10 and 11-5. Roberts played a competitive first game and won 15-13, she then took the next two, 11-9 and 11-5.

Brynn Bank won in four games, Bank took the first two, 13-11 and 11-5 before dropping the third, 11-9. She then battled in a tough fourth game and came out on top, 13-11.

Ellie Gozigan and Sandra Reiss won their matches in five games. Gozigian split the first two games and took the third, 11-5, she then dropped the fourth, 11-7, but took the fifth, 11-9. Reiss went into extra points in the first two games, winning the first 15-13 and dropping the second 12-10. Reiss then split the next two, setting up the fifth and won the final game, 11-8.

Dartmouth is on the road at Yale on Sunday at 12 p.m. to finish the regular season.
