The Dartmouth men's track & field teams spent Saturday competing in three different meets.
Big Green runners, jumpers and throwers competed at the Minutemen Invitational at UMass, the Sam Howell Invite at Princeton and Georgia's Spec Towns Invitational.
UMASS:
•   Dartmouth finished second with 124 points. UMass won with 226.33.
•  Â
Donovan Spearman (10.70) won the 100m with fellow sophomore Mattieu Freeman (11.10) taking second.
•   Those two weren't done either as Spearman (21.62) was the winner of the 200m, while Freeman (21.85) was the runner-up. They each won their respective heats, though, and did not run in direct competition with one another.
•   Another one-two finish for the Big Green came in the 400m hurdles.
Max Frye (52.96) won the race with
Alec Eschholz (53.08) taking second.
•   Andrus Cole was the winner of the javelin thanks to a throw of 60.82m on his fifth of six throws.
•   Another event win came in the hammer throw as Andrew Palmer claimed the top spot thanks to a 49.19m toss on his fourth heave of the afternoon.
•   In the 800m,
Julien Hinz finished third in 1:55.12.
•   The 4x100m relay team ran a 42.16 to take second.

Ahria Simons was third in the long jump thanks to a 6.60m on his second attempt.
•   Simons was also fifth (14.16m) in the triple jump, while teammate
Ryan Cashman was fourth (14.16m) despite the same distance (wind).

Lucas Ribeiro claimed third in the discus with a 42.21m on his first throw of the day.
PRINCETON:
•   The 3000m steeplechase saw
Marco Pompilj (9:02.34) and
Owen Ritz (9:02.61) take second and third, respectively.

Quinn Cooney took third in the 10,000m thanks to a 30:18.11.
•   Sam Morton ran a 14:38.55 to take eighth in the 5000m.
GEORGIA:
•  Â
Ben Ose was the lone participant in the Peach State, finishing third in the men's decathlon thanks to 7498 points, second most by a collegiate competitor.
•   Ose won three events during the two days of competition that began Friday: the 1500m (4:33.36), the javelin (56.86m) and the pole vault (5.05m).
