HANOVER, N.H. – With the biggest day of his academic career set for Sunday, Dartmouth senior
Ben Ose has the two biggest days of his athletic career scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
Ose will be competing in the decathlon at the 2019 NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championship meet in Austin this week.
The Mike A. Myers Stadium is home to the Texas Longhorns track & field program and will serve as the host venue for this year's national championship meet.
Already the Ivy League champion in the decathlon, Ose is looking to cap his career by making a mark in the event at nationals, sending him out as one of the most well-rounded student-athletes in the NCAA.
The Big Green senior is one of 24 competitors in the field that will begin Wednesday and continue Thursday with five events scheduled for each day.
Ose earned his spot in Austin with the 14th-best point total of anyone in the nation this year, scoring 7,498 points at Georgia's Spec Towns Invitational on April 5.
The entirety of the 2019 Outdoor Championship will be carried on ESPN2 as well as online through ESPN+. Live results will be provided by NCAA.com.
Due to current weather predictions for Wednesday in the Austin area, the committee has made the decision to adjust the meet schedule. The new times for Ose and the other decathletes is listed below:
