THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth field hockey team heads out on the road for a pair of non-league games this weekend at Boston College and Holy Cross.
LAST TIME OUT
•   The Big Green are coming off an 0-2 start to the season last weekend.
•   Dartmouth dropped its opener, 8-1, at Northeastern on Friday, Sept. 6.
•   UMass spoiled the Green's home opener on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 overtime win just over five minutes into the extra frame.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
•   Boston College won its opener, 2-1, at Providence, but has dropped the three games since, including to No. 2 Maryland and at No. 15 Northwestern just last weekend.
•   The Eagles are ranked 19th in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll.
•   Fusine Govaert leads the team with seven points on three goals and one helper.
•   Margo Carlin also has three goals and is second with six points.
•   In goal, it's been mostly Jonna Kennedy. She's played 179 minutes and is 1-2 with a .632 save percentage and a 2.35 goals against average.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
•   Holy Cross will take on Sacred Heart Friday in New Haven before hosting Dartmouth on Sunday.
•   Coming into the weekend, the Crusaders are sporting a 1-2 record with the win coming at home against Merrimack.
•   Three goals from Lexi Tilton has her atop the team's scoring leaderboard with six points. Madeline Alderfer is second in scoring with five points (1-3-5).
•   Marcia LaPlante has played 179 of 180 minutes in goal for the team. She has an impressive .818 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average, despite the 1-2 record.
AGAINST THESE TEAMS
•   Dartmouth and Boston College have not played since the 2011 season. The Eagles came away from that matchup in Hanover with a 6-4 win despite a hat trick from senior Kelly Hood '12.
•   Holy Cross is a regular opponent for the Green and White with games in every season dating back nearly two decades. Dartmouth has come away with wins in the last three meetings and 10-of-the-last-11 contests. In the game last season, the Big Green won, 5-2, with
Kira Koehler's two goals leading the way.
No. 1 FOR No. 6
•   Senior
Carmen Braceras scored the team's first goal of the season Friday at Northeastern.
•   The goal was her first wearing the No. 6 after playing her first three seasons in a uniform adorned with the No. 16.
•   In those three campaigns, she scored 13 goals, including seven as a freshman and three in each of the last two years.
A WIN WOULD…
•   …Be much better than a loss.
•   …Be the 361st in program history (360-344-33).
•   …Be the first against Boston College since Sept. 23, 2001.
•   …Be the first against Holy Cross since last season.

•   The four-game homestand begins with UNH on Friday, Sept. 20 and continues with Merrimack two days later.
