WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Dartmouth women's squash started the new year with its first win of the season at Williams College, 7-2. The Big Green are now 1-2 on the year, while the Ephs fall to 3-3.
The Big Green had a strong day with
Emma Supattapone (11-9, 11-4, 11-5),
Ellie Gozigian (11-7, 11-7, 11-7),
Emma MacTaggart (11-5, 11-5, 11-7),
Sandra Reiss (11-2, 11-7, 11-3) and
Julia Potter (11-4 11-7, 11-6) all coming away with sweeps.
Playing in the number three position,
Jesse Brownell won her first two games before her opponent extended the match by taking the third. Brownell quickly bounced back to secure the win in the fourth game.
Brynn Bank found herself tied at one game apiece, she then won the next two by scores of 11-6 to grab the win in four games.
Dartmouth continues its season at home against Princeton on Saturday for a 12 p.m. start.
