Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their fall seasons postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Jensen Palmer from Hampton, New Hampshire, of the field hockey team.
DartmouthSports.com: What have workouts been like so far?
Jensen Palmer: I haven't been able to train with the team this term because I am not considered on-campus for the fall. That has definitely been a tough adjustment, but instead, I've been going for runs outside with some other seniors who are also not able to train with the team this term.
DS: What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
JP: Probably when we beat Holy Cross in overtime last season. It's always a close game with them and it was our first win of the year.
DS: What is your most memorable non-sports memory?
JP: Parents Weekend sophomore summer was really fun because all five of the seniors on our team lived together, so all of our families got to see each other.
DS: Do you have any hidden talents?
JP: I can touch my tongue to my nose.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
JP: Probably Meg Barnes because she's done a lot of really cool things like going to the Island School in high school.
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth (as much as you can plan for anything during this pandemic)?
JP: I'm hoping to go to graduate school for my PhD in neuroscience.
DS: What was the best gift you ever received?
JP: Either Taylor Swift concert tickets from my sister, or the necklaces that the senior parents recently got for all of us.
DS: Other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life and why?
JP: The four other members of the senior class. We've been with each other through so many highs and lows and always push each other in everything we do.
