Senior Spotlight: Albie Austin

Today's senior...Albie Austin of the men's lacrosse team.
DartmouthSports.com: What is your favorite on-field memory?
Albie Austin: Watching Jack Forrest against Princeton our freshman year go down to score the first goal for us in his first start.
DS: What is your favorite non-sports memory from your time at Dartmouth?
AA: Hiking 'The Fifty' on Dartmouth's portion of the Appalachian Trail with two of my friends.
DS: Why did you choose Dartmouth?
AA: The people. Ever since I stepped foot on Dartmouth's campus as a young kid, I knew there was something special about the people here. It's also in Hanover, which I think is one of the most beautiful places to be, especially during the summer.
DS: What food could you eat every single day?
AA: Bacon, egg and cheese.
DS: How have you been spending your time at home?
AA: School work, training and teaching myself how to play the piano.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be?
AA: George Christopher because he can play the guitar and has amazing hair.
DS: If you could have played another sport, what would it be?
AA: Alpine skiing. My cousins are competitive skiers and I am always jealous that I have not been able to keep up with them. I also love skiing and it's awesome that Dartmouth has its own ski-way.
DS: What was your favorite place on campus?
AA: The patio on the Top of the Hop that overlooks the green and Baker Tower.
DS: What is the best gift you ever received?
AA: A Warrior hockey stick that was given to the Warrior of the Week at summer camp. It reminds me that if you want something in life you have to work hard and fight for it.
DS: Other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life?
AA: My former hockey coach, Jim Watson.
