THIS WEEKEND
It feels like the season just started but here we are at the end of the regular season. Dartmouth will be on the road for an 11 a.m. game at Brown on Saturday.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green handed Harvard its first loss of the season on a beautiful, crisp Saturday at Brophy Field, winning by a score of 45-31 on Senior Day.
- Six players scored seven tries, being led by Ava Procter with a pair for 10 points. Abbey Savin hit five conversions to also end the day with 10 points.
- This was redemption for Harvard's 23-22 win in the NIRA Semifinal back in November of 2019, the last time the teams met.
- It took a while, but when Lilly Durbin broke through the Crimson defense in the 18-minute mark, she opened the door for tries by Lauren Ferridge, Asialeata Meni and Idia Ihensekhien all in a 16-minute span. Savin hit some tough angles to give the home team a 26-0 advantage. Harvard scored once before the end of the half to get on the board.
- Tries by Procter and Sophie Ragg made the lead even bigger, but that was when the Crimson started to turn it up, scoring three tries in a row to get back in contention (38-24).
- Procter scored another to give the Green some of their cushion back, only to have Harvard get another seven points on the board. They kept pushing, but the clock wasn't in their favor (45-31).
LEADING THE WAY
The first three players on the team are all within 10 points of each other. Durbin remains top with 50 points from 10 tries, while Savin has snuck into second and is just one point behind thanks to a team-leading 23 conversions and one penalty kick.
Emily Henrich has 40 points from seven tries, one good kick and one PK and is first on the team with 13 assists.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown comes into the last weekend of regular season play looking pretty good with only one loss (to Harvard a few weeks ago). Most recently, the Bears came out on top against Quinnipiac, narrowly winning by a score of 26-20.
