INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On Sunday, Dartmouth women's rugby competed in its final two matches of the College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) 7s National Championship, posting a 1-1 record.
Dartmouth finishes the championship with an overall 3-2 record having secured wins over Lindenwood and Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, the first day of the Championship.
The Big Green faced Davenport in the bottom five winners semifinal before facing Sacred Heart in the match to determine fifth place.
Against the Panthers, Dartmouth earned the 26-17 victory, advancing to play Sacred Heart. The Big Green were led by
Sierra Santiago who scored two tries, her first of the tournament. Henrich tallied six points, making three successful conversions.
Marley Larkin and
Cindy Taulava also made their way onto the scoresheet, recorded one try each.
The Big Green then fell to the Pioneers, 26-19, ultimately finishing the championship in sixth place. Against Sacred Heart,
Hehea Pulotu, Santiago, and
Katelyn Walker all scored one try, while Henrich made two conversions for four total points.
Henrich wrapped the 7s Championship with the post points for the Big Green, having scored two tries and eight conversions for 26 total points. Larkin (15), Santiago (15), Walker (15), and Fotso (10) all finished with double digit points while Pulotu (7),
Jordis Lomu (5), Taulava (5), and Turagavou (5) also found their way onto the scoresheet.
