HANOVER, N.H. – Head men's lacrosse coach
Brendan Callahan has announced the team's 2022 schedule. The Big Green will play a total of 13 regular season games, seven of which will take place at Scully-Fahey Field.
After scrimmaging at UMass on Feb. 5, the team will officially kick off the spring with snow still on the ground at home against Merrimack on the 19th. A game at Bryant a week later will wrap up the month before Dartmouth heads to a five-game March.
After another road tilt, this time at Siena, the Green will be home for two in a row against Vermont and St. Johns (March 8, 19). The last week will be spent traveling, first to Ohio State and then to Harvard to kick off Ivy League play.
The final month of the season will be a busy one. In the span of a week, Dartmouth will host Cornell, Stony Brook and Yale, hitting the road for Princeton (April 16) before returning for the final home game of 2022 against Penn (April 23). The Big Green will close the regular season at Brown the following Saturday.
May begins postseason play, starting with the Ivy League semifinal and championship game from the 6th to the 8th.
2020 started off well for Dartmouth, which had a 3-0 start for the first time since 2006. The rest of the season was canceled the following week due to COVID. The team got to play one game in 2021 against defending Division III champion Tufts.
