The physicality ramped up in the second half as both sides found the back of the net. Cornell scored the first goal of the game in the 63rd minute and led 1-0. The Big Green tied the game 17 minutes late when Alino took the ball down the left side of the field before cutting back to the middle of the field and slotting the ball into the bottom right corner from the top of the box. Three more yellow cards were awarded in the second half, all to Cornell. The two teams battled back and forth, but neither could pull ahead in regulation.
The first period of overtime saw three more yellow cards. Two from Cornell and one from senior defender
