Isaac Weigel and
Mia Leko have made waves at the 2021 Toyota U.S. Open Championship over the past two days.

"It was a big day for the Big Green," head coach
Jesse Moore said. "Isaac advanced to the championship final and Mia made it to the consolation! I'm so proud of how these two are racing against some of the best athletes in the world."

Weigel opened the meet on Thursday with the 200 IM, placing 19th in prelims (2:08.51) and out-touching a swimmer from Virginia by less than half a second. That evening, he was sixth in the C final (2:09.26).

The following day,
Leko kicked things off with a 14th-place finish in prelims of the 100 fly (1:01.96). Swimming in the B final that night, she improved to a 1:01.70 to tie American University's Mimi Watts for third place.

Weigel was 10th in the 200 free (1:52.88) in the morning, making it back to the B final before being scratched into the A. He improved on his time to place seventh (1:52.63) and win his first U.S. Open medal.

The Big Green duo will end the meet on Saturday.
Leko will compete in the 200 fly, while
Weigel will swim the 100 free.
