Senior Spotlight: Abigail Chiu

DartmouthSports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their spring seasons impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior…Abigail Chiu, who hails from Austin, Texas.
DartmouthSports.com: What have workouts been like so far?
Abigail Chiu: When I am at home, I enjoy playing tennis and golf with my dad and brothers. When I am at school, my workouts consist of weightlifting and speed training with Coach Brown.
DS: What is your most memorable team moment?
AC: Having my team visit my hometown of Austin, Texas, for spring break two years ago.
DS: What is your most memorable non-sports memory?
AC: Winning Masters with my former teammate Jasmine Abidi and celebrating with my sorority, Alpha Phi.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
AC: I would swap places with Nina Paripovic '22 because I would love the chance to spend time in New Zealand and appreciate a different part of the world. Also, her accent is awesome.
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth (as much as you can plan for anything during this pandemic)?
AC: I will be working for the NFL in New York. I will be part of their JRP (Junior Rotational Program), which is a program that allows for 3-4 rotations between different departments and offices for two years. I was selected among eight other people, so I am really excited!
DS: What was the best gift you ever received?
AC: The best gift I ever received was my first dog, Shipley. He has changed my life!
DS: Other than your parents who has had the most influence on your life and why?
AC: My little brother, Harrison, because of his strength in battling mental health.
