Today's Senior … James Turner of the men's golf team.
DartmouthSports.com:Â What is your most memorable on-course team moment?
James Turner: Freshman year first tournament in the spring. We brought John Lazor '19 who was one of our best players but had been struggling. In the practice round we played the par 5 8th hole, which was an easy par 5 and would be John's last hole the first two rounds. He said "I can't wait to finish with a birdie on this hole." The next day we tee off and after 9 of the 36 holes I saw coach and asked how John was doing … "I just had to buy him another dozen" he replied. John stood on that 8th tee box twice in the same day needing a double bogey 7 to break 90. He made a 9 and an 11. Everyone except Coach and John laughs about it to this day.

DS.com: And your most memorable on-course individual moment?
JT: Shot a few under in my final round of my first tournament at Cornell to have my first top 10 and one of our best team finishes.
