KINGSTON, N.Y.—Dartmouth men's golf wrapped up its regular season on Saturday at the Roar-EE Invitational hosted by Columbia at Wiltwyck Golf Club. The Big Green finished fourth as they finished -6 as a team in the two-round tournament.
Tyler Brand was the top finisher for the Big Green as he finished tied for eighth. In the opening round he came out and fired a -2 70 with birdies on the first, second, eighth, 12th, and 17th. The second round saw 14 pars with a birdie and an eagle as he finished with a -1 71.
Luke Harper finished -1 and tied for 14th to close out his first-year regular season. The opening round saw four birdies while he carded a -2 70. The second round saw him notch three birdies on his way to a +1 73 to close out the one-day tournament.
Fin Szafnauer tied for 24th as he finished +1 on the tournament. He came out firing in the first round as he used five birdies to finish -4 with a 68. In the second round he carded a +5 77 to close out the regular season.
Benjamin Wang tied for 42nd to wrap up the regular season as he shot back-to-back rounds of 73. He had four birdies in the first round as he finished +1. The second round was much cleaner as he finished with 15 pars and one bridie to finish +1.
Ian Davis finished tied for 57th on Saturday after a +5 77 in the first round and an even 72 in the second round. He opened the second round with a birdie on nine before birding 12, 15, one, two, and three.
Aaron Zhang, Cameron Keith, and Colin Keith each played as individuals in the tournament. Zhang finished tied for 42nd, he shot an even 72 in the first round thanks to an eagle on 17. In the second round he shot a +3 75. Ca. Keith tied for 86th as he finished +10 overall. He shot a +4 76 in the first round and a +6 78 in the second round. Co. Keith tied for 86th at +20. He shot an 83 and an 81 in each round.
The Big Green open the Ivy League Championships on Friday, April 24 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J. The second round is on Saturday, April 25 before a champion is crowned the following day.
