Lettered in four sports at Carbondale, including golf and football all four years … two-time captain for the golf team and led the squad to a conference title as a senior … won Class 2A regional and sectional championships as an individual during his junior campaign … all-conference and All-South all four years, plus all-state as a junior and honorable mention as a sophomore … helped football team win conference and a Class 5A regional championships as the kicker in both his freshman and junior seasons … played left wing for the soccer team for two years, playing a part in a Class 2A regional championship as the team went 23-3 … all-conference and All-South in both soccer (sophomore year) and football (senior) … also played basketball as a senior.
