BOSTON, MASS. — The Big Green competed in four events this past weekend, its second full weekend of the season. Dartmouth placed 3 out of 18 in the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT, they placed 3 out of 18 boats in the Regis Trophy at Harvard and freshman
Sarah Young placed third at the Women's Singlehanded Championship hosted by Boston College. The Big Green also raced at Bowdoin in the Nicholas Barnett Trophy where they placed 5th out of 17.

At Harvard, the Big Green fought adverse conditions for a third-place finish in the Regis Trophy. Wind conditions were less than ideal on Saturday and the days races were called off. On Sunday, conditions improved, and Dartmouth was able to sail eight races for both divisions. The team finished with 78 points behind to Yale teams that scored 53 and 33 to take first and second. Up north, Dartmouth raced in Bowdoin's Nicholas Barnett Trophy. Sailing for the Big Green were junior

Maddie Sharp. The team finished fifth with 193 points. In first was Harvard with 135 points, Bowdoin was second with 150 and in third was Tufts with 152 points.

The final team regatta was the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT. The Big Green finished third with 105 points behind Roger Williams who placed second with 70 points and Yale who finished first with 69 points. Racing for Dartmouth were senior

Young traveled with head coach
Justin Assad to the Women's Singlehanded Qualifiers at Boston College. Young finished in third with 39 points behind Harvard who finished second with 34 points and Boston College finished first with 17 points. Her third place in qualifiers will give her a great opportunity to compete for Nationals this year.

The Big Green is back in action with a packed schedule next weekend. Five regattas to look forward to. Dartmouth hosts the Mrs. Hurst Bowl and then hits the road for the North U Match Race Clinic, the Yale Invite "A", the Hoyt Trophy at Brown and the B Hood Trophy at Tufts.
