PALO ALTO, Calif. – Stanford utilized a strong second half to take the win over Dartmouth, 4-1, on Monday afternoon at the Varsity Turf in Palo Alto, California.
The Big Green and Cardinal kept it scoreless through the first half, with all five goals coming in the second half.
Stanford found the breakthrough shortly into the second half when Caroline Reinhart scored. Reinhart collected a pass from Cara Sambeth and shot it into the lower right corner for the lead.
The Cardinal added two more goals to extend the lead to 3-0. The Big Green answered almost immediately after taking advantage of a penalty corner. Junior forward

Bronwyn Bird, who fired the shot through the Stanford defense for her second goal of the season.
Stanford added to their total after scoring from a penalty corner.

The Big Green open their home schedule this coming weekend as they host Central Michigan on Friday afternoon, followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup at Chase Field against Bryant.
