HANOVER, N.H. – After day one of the fourth annual Tate Ramsden Invitational, the Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team is in first place ahead of UMass (65-22).

The two-day home meet is swam in honor of Ramsden '17, who passed away on December 26, 2015. This is the first home meet since the team was reinstated last January and the only event hosted at Karl Michael Pool during the 2021-22 season.

The Big Green finished in first place in all four events.
Isaac Weigel kicked things off in the 500 free (4:40.54), out-touching a UMass swimmer by just two seconds. In the 200 IM,
Joe Moll and
Matt Molloy went 1-2, with Moll clocking a 1:53.41 and Molloy following in 1:56.06.

Six men went under 22 in the 50 free, with Dartmouth taking the top three.
Tim Park was first (21.45), while
Steven Mendley (21.58) and
Tim Cushman (21.69) weren't far behind. On 1-meter,
Kyle Schubert and
Jason Rickenbacher went 1-2, with Schubert leading the way with a score of 302.05 and Rickenbacher coming in second place (254.00). Schubert qualified for the Zone Championship with his score.

To end the evening, the Green won the 200 free relay (1:24.42). Made up of Weigel, Mendley, Park and Cushman, the relay finished less than a second ahead of the Minutemen.

Dartmouth will be back on Saturday for two sessions, starting at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
