HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's tennis had a 5-2 defeat of Boston University at the Boss Tennis Center on a snowy Saturday.
The Big Green won on all three doubles courts to pick up the first point of the morning. At the No. 1 position,
Elizabeth Fahrmeier and
Katie Weber got things started with a 6-2 win, while
Chloe Yoo and
Lexi Dewire clinched with a 7-5 victory at No. 3.
Chidimma Okpara and
Ashley Hess kept it close with their opponents at the No. 2 spot, winning by a score of 7-6(8).
Hess made it 2-0 with her 6-4, 6-2 victory at the No. 2 position before the Terriers' Shelly Yaloz won at the No. 5 spot. A win for Okpara at the top spot and one for Michelle Kleynerman at the No. 4 position kept things close at 3-2, but that was the last point Dartmouth allowed.
Nicole Conard had two very close sets at the No. 2 spot, defeating Kaitlin Tan, 7-6(4), 7-6(5), while
Ujvala Jupalli ended the match with her three-setter at the No. 6 position.
The Green will host UMass on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
