PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Dartmouth women's swimming and diving returned to the pool for the first time in a month to compete against Penn (121-179) and Yale (78-218) at the Quakers' Sherr Pool.

The Big Green had 12 top-five finishes throughout the weekend.

Dartmouth's divers kicked things off on Friday, walking away with firsts on both boards. On 1-meter,
Alyssa Palacios won (269.15) and
Isabella Lichen was third (257.45). It was Lichen who took the top spot on 3-meter (259.65) and Palacios followed in fifth (232.45).

On Saturday, the Green's 200 medley relay was fourth (1:48.03). Composed of
Connie Zhang,
Rachel Zhang,
Eleanor Zwart and
Ashley Post, the relay out-finished Penn by over two seconds. In the 200 free,
Mia Leko placed third with a time of 1:50.64, just two one-hundredths of a second behind Yale's Raime Jones. She was also second in the 200 fly (2:00.23) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:05.81).

Four Big Green swimmers went under a minute in the 100 back:
Mary Howley (57.52), Zwart (59.22), C. Zhang (59.25) and Izzy Hamlen (59.81). Post and
Zoe Wortzman touched a tenth of a second apart in the 50 free, with Post taking third (23.72) and Wortzman following soon after (23.82). The duo also competed in the 100 free; Post was third in 51.40 and Wortzman placed fifth with a 52.61. R. Zhang swam a lifetime best in the 200 breast (2:27.46).

Dartmouth ended the meet by finishing in second place in the 400 free relay (3:31.78). Made up of Howley, Post, Wortzman and Leko, it touched a second a half ahead of Penn.

The Big Green will host the Tate Ramsden Invitational on Jan. 21-22. This will be their only home meet of the 2021-22 season and will be swam in honor of their teammate who passed away in 2015. The team will also recognize its nine seniors.
