OXFORD, Ohio — The Dartmouth men's swimming and diving team returned to action Thursday in Oxford, Ohio, competing during the opening day of the Miami Invitational.

The three-day event features the Big Green and the host, Miami (Ohio), along with seven others: Grand Canyon, Ball State, Youngstown State, Ouachita Baptist, Ashland and Anderson. Dartmouth is in fifth place with 143 points following the conclusion of Day 1.

Yan Dvoretskiy continued his strong freshman campaign with a fifth-place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:32.50.
Joe Moll, also a qualifier for the A Final in the event, placed seventh (4:38.51).

Moll, along with
Eddy Chen,
Landon Him and
Tim Park, gave Dartmouth a sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:19.70.
Tim Cushman,
Kevin Ren,
Alexander Ye and
Colton Rasmussen followed in eighth (3:22. 34). Cushman, Park, Rasmussen and
Adam Ladman were seventh out of 22 in the 200 freestyle relay after posting a time of 1:22.50.

Everett Tai competed in the 1-meter dive A Final and placed seventh with a score of 265.05.

Grand Canyon leads all teams at the conclusion of the opening day with 361 points. Friday's prelims begin at 9 a.m. and finals follow at 5 p.m.
