BACK AT THOMPSON
The Dartmouth men's hockey team is back at Thompson Arena this weekend for two ECAC Hockey and Ivy League games. The Big Green play Brown on Friday night followed by Yale on Saturday.
LOOKING BACK TO LAST WEEKEND
- Dartmouth fell to Harvard, 3-1, on Friday evening and fell to UMass Lowell, 6-3, on Saturday.
- Ian Pierce scored his fourth goal of the season, and the team's 10th power play goal of the season, on Friday evening.
- Braiden Dorfman played a role in all three Big Green goals against the River Hawks on Saturday, finishing with one goal and two assists. Tanner Palocsik had one goal and one assist while Jack Cameron chipped in two assists.
- Clay Stevenson finished Saturday's game with 41 saves, including 23 in the first period.
THE BIG GREEN STATS
- Mark Gallant leads the team in scoring with seven goals. Sean Chisholm has five goals while Jeff Losurdo, Matt Hubbarde, Palocsik, Dorfman, and Pierce each have four.
- Chisholm and Palocsik are tied for the team lead in assists with eight apiece. Dorfman is right behind with seven while Musa has six.
- Chisholm has a team-leading 13 points this season. Gallant and Palocsik are tied for second with 12 while Dorfman has 11.
- The Big Green have utilized two goaltenders this season, Stevenson and Justin Ferguson. Stevenson has started in 13 games this season, making 405 saves with a save percentage of .923. Ferguson has played in 11 games and has made 258 saves with a save percentage of .872.
SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown enters the weekend with a 5-16-1, 5-10-1 record.
- The Bears lost to Quinnipiac, 4-1, on Tuesday evening.
- Justin Jallen leads the team in scoring with seven goals. Michael Maloney has scored five.
- Luke Krys and Samuli Niinisaari are tied for the team lead in assists with seven apiece. Tristan Crozier and Jallen are right behind with six each.
- Jallen leads with 13 points. Krys and Crozier are tied for second with nine each.
- Mathieu Caron has played the most out of the Brown goaltenders, playing in 17 games and accumulating 417 saves and allowing 43 goals for a save percentage of .907.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BEARS
- Dartmouth is 85-70-8 all-time against Brown.
- The Big Green hold the advantage at Thompson Arena with a 46-30-2 record.
- The teams played each other back in early December. The Bears won by a score of 4-0.
SCOUTING YALE
- Yale enters the weekend with a 5-15-1, 4-10-1 record. The Bulldogs play at Harvard on Friday evening.
- The Bulldogs fell to Princeton, 2-1, on Tuesday evening.
- Ian Carpentier leads the team in scoring with eight goals. Teddy Wooding has five while Niklas Allain and Graham Lillibridge each have four.
- Cole Donhauser and Briggs Gammill are tied at the top in assists with seven while Allain has six.
- Carpentier's 11 points are the most on the team. Allain is right behind with 10 while Wooding and Donhauser each have nine.
- Nathan Reid has played in 12 games in net for the Bulldogs, compiling 285 saves and allowing 33 goals for a save percentage of .896.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE BULLDOGS
- Dartmouth is 97-116-15 all-time against Yale.
- The Big Green have a 50-45-7 record against the Bulldogs at Thompson.
- Yale took the win when the teams played earlier this season at Ingalls Rink, 3-2, in overtime. Hubbarde had one goal and one assist, while Dorfman scored his first collegiate goal.
