The Dartmouth men's track and field team competed at the Giegengack Invitational and at the BU Valentine Invitational on Saturday.
The Giegengack Invitational was held at Yale's Coxe Cage while the Valentine Invitational was held at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center.
BU HIGHLIGHTS
- Myles Epstein finished fourth in the 60m dash with a time of 6.89 and followed that up by finishing seventh in the 200m dash with a PR of 21.48.
- Justin Stevens ran a lifetime best of 50.64 in the 400m.
- Isaac Weber and Thomas Lingard took 11th and 12th in the 1000m, running PRs with times of 2:26.37 and 2:26.72, respectively.
- All four 800m runners finished with PRs, led by Julien Hinz with a time of 1:51.81.
- Jacob Winslow moves into seventh in program history after significantly winning his mile heat in 4:01.83 against a competitive field.
- Will Daley ran a new PR in the mile, finishing in 4:02.24, and now ninth in program history.
- There were eight lifetime bests in the 3000m run, led by Andrew Thompson coming in at 8:14.33.
- (From Friday) – the distance medley relay team had a strong performance, finishing fifth in the meet, led by a strong finish from Jonathan Reid with a time of 4:05 in the mile. They are now 15th in the NCAA indoor standings.
YALE HIGHLIGHTS
- Michael Gabriel threw for a PR in the weight throw with a distance of 17.95m, besting his previous mark by 1.5m. Gabriel took third and now sits ninth on the Ivy League performance list. He also threw for a season best 14.16m in shot put.
- Ben Pable took fourth in the weight throw with a new PR of 17.89m. Pable followed that up with a lifetime best in the shot put with a throw of 14.09m.
- The 4x4 team took the win running their fastest time of the season, coming in at 3:23.20.
