THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth men's hockey team closes out the regular season as they head to RPI on Friday followed by Union on Saturday.
PLAYOFFS OUTLOOK
The right to host in the first round of the ECAC Hockey tournament is still up for grabs. The Big Green will need wins in both games while receiving some help from others.
WEEKLY HONORS
Sean Chisholm earned his first career weekly honor after he was named the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week. Chisholm had four points after scoring one and assisting another in both games against Princeton.
LOOKING BACK TO LAST WEEKEND
- Dartmouth went 1-1 over the weekend, falling to Quinnipiac on Friday before defeating Princeton, 2-0, on Saturday.
- Braiden Dorfman scored the game winner with 1:25 remaining in the third period. Chisholm sealed the victory with an empty net goal with under 30 seconds left.
- Clay Stevenson picked up his second shutout of the season after a 25-save performance on Saturday.
THE BIG GREEN STATS
- Mark Gallant leads the team in scoring with nine goals. Chisholm has eight goals, Dorfman has six, while Jeff Losurdo and Matt Hubbarde each have five.
- Tanner Palocsik and Chisholm are tied for the team lead in assists with 11 apiece. Joey Musa has eight assists while Harrison Markell and Dorfman both have seven.
- Chisholm has a team-leading 19 points this season. Gallant and Palocsik are tied for second with 15.
- Stevenson has started in 18 games this season for the Big Green, making 552 saves while allowing 45 goals for a save percentage of .925. Stevenson's save percentage currently ranks tenth in Division I.
- Dartmouth's penalty killing percentage of 0.861 is tenth in the nation.
SCOUTING RPI
- RPI enters the weekend with a 14-19-3, 9-11-0 record.
- The Engineers sit sixth in the ECAC Hockey standings.
- Ture Linden leads the team in scoring with 13 goals. Justin Addamo has nine while Zach Dubinsky has eight.
- Simon Kjellberg has a team-leading 16 assists. Linden is right behind with 15 while Ottoville Leppanen and Jake Johnson each have 13.
- Linden's 28 points lead the team. Kjellberg is second with 22.
- Linden Marshall has played in 24 games between the pipes for the Engineers, making 504 saves while allowing 58 goals.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
- Dartmouth is 42-49-6 all-time against RPI.
- The Big Green are 18-25-4 on the road against the Engineers.
- The last time these two teams played each other at Houston Field House was back on Jan. 31, 2020, with RPI taking the win, 7-1.
SCOUTING UNION
- Union enters the weekend with a 10-17-4, 7-11-2 record. They play Harvard on Friday evening.
- The Dutchmen are currently tenth in the ECAC Hockey standings.
- Liam Robertson leads the team in scoring with 11 goals. Collin Graf and Josh Kosack are tied for second with seven each.
- Brandon Estes has 18 assists for Union. Tyler Watkins has 12 while Gabriel Seger has 11.
- Estes has 24 points to lead the Dutchmen followed by Seger with 16 and Watkins, Graf, and Robertson with 15.
- Connor Murphy has started all 31 games for Union, making 878 saves and allowing 79 goals for a save percentage of .917.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE DUTCHMEN
- Dartmouth is 27-38-4 all-time against Union.
- The Big Green are 11-19-5 on the road.
- Dartmouth is looking for their first win at Union since Nov. 7, 2014, when they won 4-3 in overtime.
