PRINCETON, N.J. – Dartmouth men's swimming and diving opened the 2022 Ivy League Championship on Wednesday with a pair of relays.

The 200 medley relay grouping of Alexander Ye,
Connor Richmond,
Steven Mendley and
Tim Cushman swam almost three seconds under their seed time but were disqualified for a false start on one of the relay legs.

The Big Green came back stronger after that. The 800 free relay touched in seventh place with a time of 6:31.15, the second fastest time in Dartmouth history. Made up of
Isaac Weigel,
Tim Park,
Joe Moll and Cushman, the Big Green out-touched Columbia by seven tenths of a second. Weigel's lead-off time of 1:36.41 is also the second fastest time in program history.

Day two of the championship will begin at 11 a.m. with the 500 free.
