SHIPPING UP TO BOSTON
The Dartmouth men's hockey team heads out to the Boston area for matchups with fellow Ivy League school Harvard on Friday evening followed by their non-conference finale on Saturday at UMass Lowell.
LOOKING BACK TO TUESDAY NIGHT
- Dartmouth fell to RPI, 2-0, on Tuesday evening in ECAC Hockey action.
- Clay Stevenson finished with 33 saves, the sixth time this season in which he has eclipsed 30 saves.
THE BIG GREEN STATS
- Mark Gallant leads the team in scoring with seven goals. Jeff Losurdo, Sean Chisholm, and Matt Hubbarde each have four while Braiden Dorfman, Tanner Palocsik, and Ian Pierce have three.
- Chisholm and Palocsik are tied for the team lead in assists with seven apiece. Joey Musa is right behind with six while Sam Hesler, Losurdo, Gallant, and Dorfman have five apiece.
- Gallant has a team-leading 12 points this season. Chisholm is second with 10 while Palocsik has nine.
- The Big Green have utilized two goalkeepers this season, Justin Ferguson and Clay Stevenson. Ferguson has appeared in 11 games, making 258 saves with a save percentage of .872. Stevenson has started in 11 games, making 333 saves for a save percentage of .925.
SCOUTING HARVARD
- Harvard enters Friday's contest with an 11-7-2, 8-5-2 record.
- The Crimson defeated Boston College, 6-3, in their previous game on Tuesday evening.
- Alex Laferriere leads the Crimson in scoring with 11 goals, while Sean Farrell and Matthew Coronato each have eight.
- Nick Abruzzese's 16 assists lead the team and is tied for third in ECAC Hockey. Henry Thrun has 14 while Casey Dornbach has 13.
- Abruzzese has a team-leading 21 points. Laferriere is right behind with 20, while Farrell has 19 and Thrun has 18.
- Mitchell Gibson has played in 16 games in goal for the Crimson, making 346 saves and allowing 34 goals for a save percentage of .911.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
- UMass Lowell goes into the weekend with a 14-6-3 record. They will play Boston College on Friday evening in a Hockey East contest.
- The River Hawks fell to UMass, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon.
- Andre Lee leads UMass Lowell in scoring 12 goals this season. Matt Crasa has nine goals followed by Lucas Condotta with six.
- Carl Berglund has a team-leading 14 assists while Reid Stefanson and Nick Austin are tied for second with nine apiece.
- Berglund leads with 18 points, Lee has 17, while Condotta, Crasa, and Stefanson each have 14.
- Owen Savory has played in 18 games between the pipes for the River Hawks this season, making 433 saves and allowing 31 goals for a save percentage of .933.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE CRIMSON
- Dartmouth is 65-143-13 all-time against Harvard.
- On the road, the Big Green are 31-80-8.
- The teams opened the season against each other back on October 29 at Thompson Arena. The Crimson won by a score of 9-3.
ALL-TIME AGAINST THE RIVER HAWKS
- Dartmouth is no stranger to the Tsongas Center, as the Big Green defeated the River Hawks, 2-1, on January 27, 1998, in the first game at the Tsongas Center.
