HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth equestrian team had a busy weekend hosting the ECAC North Conference Single Discipline Championship at Morton Farm.

In the first matchup against Sacred Heart, the Pioneers took three of the four fence points with Dartmouth captain senior
Claire Azar securing the lone point for the Big Green. Moving onto the flat on Sunday, Azar followed up with another strong performance as she was the only Dartmouth to secure a point, outscoring her opponent 73.5-52.

In the Big Green's second matchup against SUNY New Paltz, Azar once again put the first point up on the board for Dartmouth after her fences round aboard Babalou. She earned a 77 compared to the Hawks' 50. Freshman
Chloe Terestchenko also had a huge win over fences with a score of 76, defeating her opponent by 35 points. This left Dartmouth and SUNY tied 2-2 after the fences.

Moving onto the flat, Terestchenko edged out her opponent by four points to her second win in the meet. Azar also earned her second point in the meet with a score of 80.5 compared to the Hawks' score of 67.5. The meet ended in a tie, 4-4, with the Hawks taking the win with a higher raw score of 553.5-509.

Azar earned a spot on the ECAC All-Tournament Flat and ECAC All-Tournament Fences teams. The Elite Equestrian Award, given to the competitor with the highest GPA, was presented to Dartmouth's
Rachel Freer. Head Coach and Director of Riding
Tenley Walsh and SUNY's Head Coach Helaina Ricciardi were named ECAC Co-Head Coaches of the Year.
