Katherine Bjerregaard Hired as Sailing Assistant Coach

The 2019 graduate of St. Mary’s College joins the coaching staff.
HANOVER, N.H. — Head Coach Justin Assad of the Dartmouth Sailing team has announced that Katherine Bjerregaard has joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
A 2019 graduate of St. Mary's College, Bjerregaard was a four-year member of the varsity sailing team. A two-time conference champion and an All-MAISA honoree, Bjerregaard earned a second place in the B Division at the 2018 college sailing nationals and had several top-10 finishes in both the women's and open national championships in 2019.
Since college, she has earned regatta wins at the Edgartown RTI, Leukemia Cup, Safe Harbor Race Weekend, and several others. Most recently, Bjerregaard competed in the 2021 Match Race Grand Slam Series and the Morgan Cup while representing the Bristol Yacht Club.
The team will be in action this weekend at the Marchiando Team Race, Jumbo Team Race, and Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race.
